To disable ‘Limit Ad Tracking’ go to Settings>Privacy>Advertising>Limit Ad Tracking>Disable (Toggle should no longer be green)

Follow these steps to install the app on your iPhone: www.incompass.me.uk/iphone

NOTE: This is the same link that is mentioned at the top of this page. The download link will work on any internet browser on your iPhone.

Select Open > Install. Exit your browser and you’ll see the app (called MediaCell+) downloading.

Before you can launch the App, you will need to add MediaCell+ as a trusted developer.

Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ > ‘Device Management’ or ‘Profiles & Device Management’ > Select ‘IPSOS MORI UK LIMITED’ > Select ‘Trust IPSOS MORI UK LIMITED’ > Select ‘Trust’

IMPORTANT: We can assure you that the Ipsos MORI MediaCell+ app can be trusted. This won’t allow unauthorised software to be used on your device, it will only give permission for the MediaCell+ app. It is required because the app we use is private and not available via the app store.

Open the MediaCell+ App. You will be shown the following notifications (the order may vary).
Select Allow/OK for each notification.

No data will be collected or sent on/from your device until terms and conditions prompt has been accepted.

Select ‘Register’ located at the bottom of the screen. It will ask to send a text message – select ‘Continue’.

You will be automatically redirected to your Messages app to send the text.
Press the ‘Send’ button.

(This text is sent to us at Ipsos MORI to register your app - the long string of numbers/letters enables us to identify your iPhone so that we can register it – please don’t change the content of the text!)

Once we have received the text message we will register your iPhone which will take approximately one hour to complete.

Whilst you are waiting for it to register you may regularly get this notification. Apologies for this - please ignore this message.

The button at the bottom of the screen within the Mediacell+ app should now say ‘Upload’ (rather than ‘Register’) and you will see a red banner at the top of your screen. This confirms that the app is registered.

You will also be prompted to download and install the VPN (the VPN is required to understand which applications and websites are being used).

For this, please follow the instructions below to download and install the profile and install the VPN.

Part 1: Downloading & Installing the VPN Profile

• Download the VPN Profile

• Install the downloaded VPN Profile

Open your ‘Settings’ App > ‘Profiles Downloaded’ (should appear at the top of the list) > MediaCell+ > Install

Alternative Method: ‘Settings’ > General > Profiles & Device Management > MediaCell+ > Install

For older iOS versions (below 12.2), please follow the instructions below:

Part 2: Configuring the VPN for MediaCell+

• Open ‘MediaCell+’ app > Tap ‘Allow’ for MediaCell+ to add the VPN > Confirm with your PIN/Password/Fingerprint/FaceID (this will be whichever you use on your iPhone)

Note: You will now see a ‘VPN’ icon along the top of your iPhone (iPhone 10/X onwards may differ). This will only be present when you are connected to a network connection.

That now completes the setup of the VPN for the MediaCell+ application.

One final step to install the VPN (On iOS 10.3 or higher):

Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘General’ > ‘About’ > Select ‘Certificate Trust Settings’ (usually at the bottom of the screen)

Toggle the slider next to ‘MediaCell+’ to the right. If prompted with a ‘Root Certificate’ message, select ‘Continue’. The toggle should now be green. (If the toggle is already green, you do not need to do anything)

You can now exit and return to the home screen.

After enabling the Root Certificate, please restart your iPhone by turning it OFF and turning the power back ON and tapping on MediaCell+ app once the phone is on.

The MediaCell+ App should now be running in the background. The app can now detect what you watch on TV, what radio you listen to, and the apps/websites used on your iPhone. You will know if it is running if you have the red notification bar and VPN sign at the top.

• You’ll receive a £20 online shopping voucher after your first month for fully installing the Mediacell+ app on your smartphone and the inCompass app on any of your PC’s, Laptops and Tablets.
• And you’ll then get a further £10 voucher for each further month you take part in the panel.

To be eligible for your voucher every month, all you now need to do is ensure that the MediaCell+ app is running at all times, and remember:

• Carry your iPhone with you at all times, even indoors when you move from room to room.
• Charge your iPhone regularly so that the battery doesn’t run out.
• Connect your iPhone to either Wi-Fi or mobile data at least once a day.
• Ensure the inCompass app is installed on other devices you own such as PC’s, Laptops and Tablets.

Apart from that, please watch TV, listen to the radio and use your iPhone as much or as little as you normally would!

NOTE: Online Vouchers will be emailed to you during the first week of each new calendar month in payment for the full previous calendar month.

You may be invited to earn the opportunity of earning an extra £5 voucher for completing a 7-day Diary survey.
